The Endwell UMC is a Safe Sanctuary
Under our Safe Sanctuary policy and to protect all children, youth and vulnerable adults - Adults working with children must be trained in recognizing, recording and reporting child abuse and neglect. 

Five easy Steps To be SAFE SANCTUARY TRAINED: 
#1 - Print out the Quiz and Watch the video -  What is Child Abuse and Neglect
(answer the questions - answers are all in order. Video is 2:19 minutes)
 
#2 As a teacher, we are mandated reporters, we are responsible for Recognizing and Reporting  Child Abuse - To better equip you - Watch the 7:00 minute Video below.  

#3. Review the Summary Guide for Mandated reporters in New York State & the New York State Child Protective Services  - The Hotline in NY State is 1-800-342-3720

#4 -Then email or drop off the completed quiz to the church office. This will serve as your certificate of completion and kept on file. 

#5 - If you have not had a recent background check -  download, fill out and sign the Authorization and Waiver Forms and submit it to the Church office. Background checks are of no cost to you and kept confidential. Authorization form with personal Information is shredded.
